  1. [ubuntu] Re: Airplane Mode not persisting / deactivating itself after wake-from-sleep

    I filed a bug-report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/2064869

Feel free to add yourself to it, helps with grabbing their attention
  2. [xubuntu] Re: After upgrade - duplicate applets in panel

Xubuntu 24.04 here as well, I had seen double bluetooth applets when in Development, I have no Dropbox installs.

Moral of my reply, Xubuntu still has some minor bugs to it. And sometimes a reboot...

Works nicely with and without firejail, firejail --private.

I'm just on the free version here, or no account.

  9. [ubuntu] Re: Airplane Mode not persisting / deactivating itself after wake-from-sleep

    Please try:

    systemctl disable bluetooth
It should prompt you to enter your password

    Also you could try:

    systemctl stop --now bluetooth

That should persist through out your session
  10. [ubuntu] Re: Upgrade 23.10 to 24.04 crashed, how to execute post upgrade scripts?

That should be good enough for now.

    Unless you have other questions..

[ubuntu] Re: Multi boot system but no Grub Menu

Wise to stay with one OS.

If you want to play with more than one OS use KVM (Virt-manager) or Vbox it's much safer that way. :)

Re: Ubuntu 24.04 on btrfs with subvolume

If your still looking a good start with instructions found here: https://blackstewie.com/posts/install-ubuntu-with-btrfs/

I definitely suggest adding a "@snapshots" with one note "/.snapshots"...

Re: What happened to the Ubuntu community?

That is very thought provoking, I'm happy as is outside of better current/newer hardware support, and that's not on Linux but vendors/manufacturers.

Hence the comment More Skilled/Qualified Coders...

Re: What happened to the Ubuntu community?

    Reader Disclaimer, My opinion only!

Agreed but with a wee bit more of a Linux Desktop market share percentage, I feel we would also pickup more qualified/skilled Developers as well..

    Lord knows...
  20. [ubuntu] Re: ubuntu-drivers doesn't list the latest nvidia drivers after upgrading to 24.04

+1 for the bug report, I just never use ubuntu-driver anything...instead I use:

    apt list nvidia-driver*
    Listing... Done
    nvidia-driver-390/noble 390.157-0ubuntu7 amd64...
